We were building $400K houses and guessing our margin until the end. This workbook showed us we were losing 8% on labour every job. Fixed it in a week. Best $34 we ever spent.

The subcontractor ledger alone is worth it. I know exactly what I owe every sub, what retention I'm holding, and what's outstanding. I used to track this in my head. Never again.

FAQ

Common questions.

Can I use this for multiple jobs simultaneously? +
Yes. The workbook is designed for one job per file — which is the cleanest approach. Copy the file for each new project. If you want a portfolio view across 10+ jobs, contact us about a multi-job dashboard add-on.
How many phases and line items can it handle? +
Out of the box: 10 phases, up to 20 line items per phase, and 30 subcontractors. All fully extendable — add rows freely and every total and formula auto-updates. There's no functional limit.
Does it handle GST/VAT or is it US-only? +
It's currency and tax-agnostic. Set your currency symbol once and it applies throughout. The tax columns are optional — leave them blank if not applicable, or add your tax rate and it calculates automatically.
What types of contractors is this built for? +
Primarily residential and commercial general contractors. The phase and cost type structure works for builders, remodelers, custom home builders, and fit-out contractors. Trades (electricians, plumbers) who sub to GCs can also use it to track their own job costs.
