Common questions.

Can I import our existing donor list? +

Yes. The donor database is a standard Excel table. Copy and paste your existing data directly in, or import from a CSV. The formulas and alerts update automatically as you add rows.

How does the lapsed donor alert work? +

The workbook calculates days since each donor's last gift automatically using today's date. Donors who haven't given in 90, 180, or 365+ days are flagged with colour coding and appear on the dedicated Lapsed Donor Report tab sorted by gift size — so you can prioritise outreach to your highest-value lapsed donors first.

Does it work for churches as well as traditional nonprofits? +

Yes — it's used by both. The terminology is fully editable. "Donor" can become "Member" or "Congregant," "Campaign" can become "Pledge Drive" or "Building Fund." All labels are in unlocked cells.

Can I generate receipts or acknowledgement letters from this? +

The tracker includes an acknowledgement status column so you can track which gifts have been receipted. For generating letters themselves, it works well alongside a mail merge in Word. We're working on a dedicated donor acknowledgement letter generator as a companion template.
